Describe it. Using what you learn from the readings, and your knowledge of informatics and public health, describe the campaign. What is the target public health problem? What are its goals/objectives? Who is running it? What does it look like? Who is the target audience? How is the message delivered (billboards, radio, institutional, online, etc)? Remember to cite the campaign and any information you find about it. (15 points) 2. Critique it. Look at the campaign itself. What are the strengths and what are the challenges or limitations? Is the information accurate? Does the delivery serve the target audience? Is it easy to access? You will do a critique on the product (the campaign) and the approach (how it’s delivered). Does it meet the needs of the tar‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍get audience? Is it provided in a way that is accessible to them? Do they make assumptions (such as the ability to read, or to understand a language such as English)? Is there a cost? Is their information based on evidence or is it haphazardly thrown together? Draw from your readings and support your ideas using the readings and the literature. (15 points) 3. Improve it. Using what you know, how would you improve the campaign? What would you change from information to delivery method? And how? Support your ideas with the readings for this week and the literature (on the target problem or population, what works, change theory, media dissemination of information, demographics, anything that would be helpful). (15 points) 4. Summarize it. Why did you choose this campaign? What did you find? What were the strengths and challenges you identified and how would you fix them? Provide a summary of your findings. Include what you have learned by doing this assignment (don’t leave this out). (10 points) *You will need to cite the information from the reading this week at least one time for each of the sections above and find at least one peer reviewed journal article on your topic to support your critique and your suggestions. You will also need to cite your chosen campaign each time you mention it within APA rules. *This paper should be no less than 3 pages and no more than 6 plus references and cover page.
