Pick a topic related to parenting and a culture of interest that is different from your own and look for a research article through the library databases. Please do not report back on the general topic of parenting styles.
After you’ve read your article, think and share about what function this particular behavior or finding might have in the environment/culture in which it was reported on (i.e., the purpose the behavior serves in that culture – watch the above video for more information if you don’t understand what I am asking here).
Be sure to exclude newspapers, books and opinion pieces from your search. Read your research article and report back to your group DB on your findings. Be sure to include a citation and reference for the paper you read so that others can find it should they chose.
